Airports - Roatan island has an international airport in Coxen Hole with jet service.  Direct flights are available from Miami (MIA), Houston (IAH), New Orleans (MSY), and other cities in the Americas. 

You may fly to San Pedro Sula (SAP) or La Ceiba (LCE) on the mainland of Honduras prior to taking a connecting flight to Roatan (RTB), but you will probably take a much smaller plane getting to the island.  Flights are available between Roatan and the mainland of Honduras daily.

Airlines - Airlines providing international air travel to Roatan include Continental, Delta, Taca, and United. 

Taca has nice jets and the greatest number of international flights to and from Roatan.   Taca requires you to "confirm" your flight before leaving Roatan.  If you do not call in or come in to confirm your flight, you may not have a seat even though you have a ticket.
